It’s been a long road. In the past few weeks the final touches were put on the public realm around 158 Front Street East, with the planting of trees in the sidewalk. These are supported by silva cells under the sidewalk which will allow the roots to grow and the trees to flourish. The St. Lawrence Market Neighbourhood’s heritage street lights have also been reinstalled.

Remaining Exterior Work:
Next week will see the Glass Canopy installed on the building’s facing walls. During this installation, pedestrians will still have access to the the sidewalk. Only the areas immediately adjacent to the face of the building, will be closed off to ensure the safe installation of the canopy.

Main Lobby Entrance
In the next 2 to 3 weeks the main lobby entrance on Front Street East will be completed and opened for the use of all residents.

New Neighbours
The St. Lawrence Condominium is substantially occupied. While some move-ins may well continue, the vast majority of the units are home to new St. Lawrence residents.

Thank you!
A hearty thank you to all the residents and local businesses for their forbearance during the construction of the building over the past few years. In particular we would like to again recognize the St. Lawrence Market Neighbourhood BIA, supported by the St. Lawrence Neighbourhood Association, for their collaboration with the City of Toronto and the development team, which resulted in a wider sidewalk on Front Street East and improved public realm.
