Construction Update for 158 Front St. E., January 24, 2022

The West Tower Hoist (external construction elevator) removal got underway today, Monday, January 24.

The removal of the Hoist is expected to take approximately 3 to 4 weeks. In the coming weeks there will need to be a mobile crane set up on Front Street East to complete the removal of the last section of the Hoist. Once we know when this is scheduled to happen we will post and circulate the details.

Interior suite and hallway finishing is ongoing throughout the building.

Lobby Finishing is ongoing this week and next.

Looking Ahead

The new Frederick Street sidewalk is scheduled to begin being poured between Tuesday and Friday of next week .

Crews will also begin to remove a section of the old sidewalk on Sherbourne Street next week.

In the past several weeks crews have been removing the shoring from the Sherbourne Street side of the building.

Once the shoring is fully removed from the relevant section, then the old sidewalk can be removed. All of this work has to be completed prior to the pouring of the new sidewalk.
