Crews will be on site today, December 23, for a full day. There is also a small chance some subcontractors will be onsite tomorrow, Christmas Eve, for a partial day.
From December 25 through January 1 the site will be closed.
If there is significant snowfall over the holidays, crews will be on site on January 2, 2020 to clear the snow and prepare the site for the resumption of work. If not, crews will be on site as January 3, to test the cranes, clean and prepare the site for full work to resume on January 6, 2020.
Taking advantage of the mild and sunny weather today, crews were covering the public art with a transparent protective coating that will prevent graffiti damage to the artwork.
Leading up the holiday break, work has progressed steadily on the 5th floor, with the slab floor substantially complete across most of the building. Work has also progressed on the 6th floor in the western third of the site.
Work is also continuing on the interior of the building, this new staircase (above left) in the northeast of the building was recently completed.
Our next update will be posted after New Year’s Day.
