City of Toronto work on Front Street East
We begin this update with a note on the City of Toronto work on Front Street East in the north lane between Sherbourne and Frederick Streets, which has been underway for the past week. Neither we nor the construction management team received no advance notice of the commencement of the work. The purpose of the work is to remove and relocate the fire hydrant that was positioned approximately mid-block on Front St. E. We understand the City’s contractors are making good progress and is expected to continue through Friday.
Progress at 158 Front St. E
Work on the 3rd floor has been completed. Work is continuing on the 4th floor and the 5th floors of the future St. Lawrence Condominiums. By the end of next week the 4th floor should completed and the 5th floor should be close to the eastern edge of the building. Of course progress will depend on weather conditions and any substantial snowfall could slow down the completion of the these floors.

Work is ongoing inside the building from the parking levels through the third floor. As well the first portions of the 6th floor walls have been formed and poured on the western section of the building.

Holiday Schedule
The site will be closed from December 23rd, 2019 through January 3, 2020. We expect that there may be work on Saturday, December 21st but we will confirm that next week.
We will post an update next week and if there are any significant changes to the work schedule or construction activities. Please check back regularly.
