Look Ahead for 158 Front Street East, week of August 19, 2019

This coming week will see continued work on decking, forming and pouring the 2nd floor of the St. Lawrence Condominiums at 158 Front Street East.

Work will also be underway, starting in the southwest corner of the site, to form and pour the walls and columns that run from the 2nd to the 3rd floor.

On the east side of the site, there will be work to complete the remaining columns from the 1st to the 2nd floors and begin the work to prepare for the pouring of the 2nd floor.

Looking Ahead

Permits from the City of Toronto have been received for the 3rd Gate for the site, from Front Street East. This gate is necessary in order to set up and access the hoists, the service elevators, that will serve the podium and the two towers that will rise from the podium.

The work to set up and open the the 3rd Gate is scheduled to be underway between August 28 and September 3.

We note that the parking spots on the north side of Front Street East be removed to enable the safe operation of this gate. In fact these parking spots have actually not been officially in service since construction began. The site developers have been paying the Toronto Parking Authority for these spaces since the inception of construction. We recognize this will cause a minor inconvenience for those who use these spots but safety requirements are paramount.

We will provide more details on this in the coming week. If you have any questions please contact us at: contact@158frontconstruction.info
