Weekend update + Look Ahead to March 4+, 2019

Saturday, March 2, Update

There will be a few workers on-site this Saturday doing housekeeping work. No major activity is planned.

Looking ahead to the Week of March 4th

Work will continue this coming week to complete the lower at-grade–P3–concrete slab. This past week, concrete has been poured at-grade under the the existing concrete platform at the east end of the site. The concrete platform will become the ground floor level at the east end of the site, once the concrete work reaches grade/street level.

Work will also continue on the P2 slab level through the week, working from the southwest counterclockwise to the northwest corner of the site.

Concrete work will continue under the existing concrete platform until the lower level structure reaches the existing platform deck. Once that is complete, the caisson pillars that currently support the platform will be chipped and dismantled section by section.

A note on Concrete Trucks

Now that the access point to the west side of the site has been cleared of excavation equipment and has had full overhead protection put in place, there is more room to accommodate concrete trucks as the deliver concrete and are washed out before departing the site.

When the at-grade/street level concrete is poured, trucks will be able to access the interior of the site using a portion of the ground level concrete surface.

Please check back regularly for updates. Our next scheduled update will be published on Wednesday March 6.
