Updated: 158 Front Construction Overview for January 21 – 25, 2019

As we’ve noted before, extreme weather conditions can play havoc with construction activities. Today has been no exception to that. This week’s schedule has been essentially postponed till tomorrow. We will continue to update this site as necessary. Please do check back.

This week will see continued concrete pours throughout the week. Crews will continue to form and pour the at grade, P3, slab, the columns rising from it to support the P2 slab, as well as the P2 slab.

Of course all work is weather dependent. While concrete is treated to be able to poured in winter conditions, if the cold weather is too severe work may be delayed or postponed.

Excavation is now complete on site. The space taken up on the Frederick Street side of the site, inside the fence, is now clear and will be used to facilitate concrete truck access to the west side of the site. Concrete trucks will also be access the site from the east side via Sherbourne Street.

We will post and update later this week with information on work that may be planned for Saturday January 26.
