As we noted in our most recent construction update for 158 Front Street East, the large excavator at the lower grade level is set to be removed by a mobile crane and flatbed trailer.
Subcontractor GFL has applied for a permit from the City to do this work on Saturday January 19. We expect the permit to be approved though it is not yet been confirmed, as of close of business, Wednesday, January, 16.
In order to safely and efficiently remove the excavator, the south end of Frederick (between King and Front) will be need to completely closed.
The crane company doing the work will have staff on hand to ensure access to the garages to the residences at 160 and 159 Frederick Street. However, there may be some unavoidable short-term delays while the crane is being set-up and removed, to ensure safety.
We will be updating this website with further details once the permit has been confirmed and the City’s approved time frame for the removal is clear. We will also circulate a notice via email to those neighbouring properties who are on our list.
