158 Front Construction Overview for October 1 – 5, 2018

Last week the concrete pad for the first crane was completed on the western end of the site, adjacent Frederick Street. On Saturday, September 29th, work began on rebuilding the ramp that will lead into the site from the Frederick Street entrance.

This week work on rebuilding the ramp will continue using shale that was excavated from the site plus additional clean shale that will be brought to the site.

Work on the crane pad will continue this week, with the crane expected to be installed beginning on October 9. Work will also continue on the east end of the site to clear the area under the concrete work platform.

We also expect the installation of the remaining sections of the overhead protection hoardings along Front Street and Sherbourne Street to get underway. Once all the hoardings are in place, new lighting will be added to illuminate the walkways.

We will update this site if we have updated information on this week’s construction activities. Please check back regularly.
