This week work will begin on pouring the stabilizing foundation for the first crane that will be placed on site. This crane will be placed at the west end of the site near Frederick Street. A rectangular excavation was completed last week for the base of the crane and its supporting concrete.
Also this wee, work will begin to rebuild a ramp into the site from the Frederick Street entrance. The construction of this ramp will use shale excavated from the site and additional shale that will be brought in.
