This past week the concrete staging platform was completed on the eastern side the site, adjacent Sherbourne Street. This platform will be used for staging construction activities. In the coming weeks, the construction office trailer will be moved from the west side of the site and to the platform.
This week and over the course of the next few weeks, the focus of work on the site will be bulk excavation in the eastern two-thirds of the property. Excavation will go approximately 3-storeys down or roughly 3 metres below the bottom of the current trench on the north side of the site, pictured on the left.
During excavation, trucks will arrive at the site from Front Street East, enter the site from Frederick street, depart from Frederick and then proceed away via Frederick and King Street East.
